A wistful, atmospheric torch ballad paying homage to a district of London whose former culture has been long eroded by gentrification. We really tried to capture the spirit of old Soho with this one.

Memories of danger in a clouded haze

The last strains of neon that once lit her pain

The afternoons on Brewer Street, the coffee and pills
The punters given useless keys
The money mounted up to be dissolved on the fix
From the dealers on Archer Street
Cooled off in the casino then the exchange store
Soaking up the pop culture this dream world spawned
A squalid peace stilled her hazy mind as her heels crossed the drains

She casts her eye around the corner onto Walkers Court
Where the lights of the Revue Bar had shone
Memories of the gangs who protected her life
The strip bars that have come and gone
The neon lights still linger in her eyes
Friendly ghosts of addictions long overcome
Serene celebration of the strength she’s gained
Her tears mixed with the Soho rain now
